In 2000, the company established Swarovski Waterschool, their flagship community investment program. The work they do has ensured access to clean water at schools across the globe while educating those communities on proper sanitation, hygiene and water issues. Swarovski Waterschool ultimately seeks to empower children, families and schools everywhere to protect the world’s most precious resource and become leaders in sustainable development.

Their vision for the future principally focuses on four of the 17 United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

They have three pillars acting as the foundation of Swarovski Waterschool's educational program.

The Swarovski Waterschool has implement programs along rivers in over 2,400 schools in Austia, Brazil, China, India, Thailand, Uganda and USA. To date, Swarovski Waterschool has taught over 500,000 children in areas throughout the globe.

In 2017 alone
- over 40 chinese schools have educated local communities, reaching more than 10,000 people

- 62 brazilian schools are continuously collecting plastic on the Amazon River banks

- over 3,500 trees were planted in India, Uganda and Brazil in areas affected by climate change

- water tanks were built in 10 local ugandan schools, bringing safe water to 6,000 children and their communities.

- 16 sanitary facilities were built in India by empowering and teaching women new masonry skills
