Healing/Empowerment
- healing implies that there is something wrong with you, has an endpoint ("healed")
- growth -> continious process, never ending
- what society defines as "disease" vs what is defined as "normal"/"healthy"
- individual vs community healing
- body - mind - environment (family, religion, school system, traditions, value system)
- empathy, acceptance

I want to change the view on what is considered "(ab)normal" by society (school, work, family). Why do we all have to fit into that framework?

How do we prepare ourselves to the new?
How do we get lost in a comfortable way? (me and the others)
How do we discover the thing we don't know about?
How do we create situations to pierce normativity?
1) What does invisibility and silence mean for your group?

- one of the basic needs: being seen/heard -> contributing some kind of meaning
- you can feel the silence only in contrast to noise/sounds
- silence creates space for thoughts, reflection -> scary for some people -> seek out noise to cancle out their thoughts

2) How do you feel colonialism closest in your life?

- the fact that we are barely aware of it all (as an all white group) -> privilege
- we were programmed to think in certain patterns -> taking a step back and reflect on our way of thinking

3) How to look/hear/feel for what isn't seen/said/felt?

-> relates back to our question "How do we discover the thing we don't know about?"
- analyse what you know/reflect on your own situation -> what is missing?
- fear of loosing something if you're empowering others
notes from our group meetings:

- maze board game -> get to know each other, coming together

What do we want to collect? -> personal stories, different approaches to healing

How do we include our theory/information in the questions of the game?

- moving parts (like "Labyrinth") -> about the journey, not the destination
- different categories: questions, exercises/activities, quotes (truth&dare)

-> goal for the game: conversation starter, information about healing, collect your thruths, getting to know each other, comming together

more topics: family/environment, safety in a broader way, getting lost and finding new ways, the physical/body, growing

-> different categories or link one card of each category together?
-> how does the game work?

homework:
- think about how the gameplay could work
- think of 3x questions, 3x quotes, 3x activities
game idea:
- maze/map made out of different tiles which are layed out throughout the game
- on some tiles there are action/question/quote fields -> pick one card accordingly
- each player startes on a different side -> by laying down new tiles the players can find a way to each other -> working together
- collecting different skills(?) through the action/quotes/question cards -> group needs to collect a certain amount of points to win game

final colour palette and tests for the board
tests for the arrangement of the board
different stages of my design process
It started quite busy, but with each step we tried to balance it to be more calm for the eyes but still fun and exciting.
